Rich Fondo
Mr. Richard E. Fondo became an HPL Director of Business Development in March 2009. In this role, he serves as a partner and advocate for counties, facilities and facility administrations in the Southeastern US including the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Mr. Fondo works with facilities to meet their unique healthcare service and management needs. He has a complete understanding of and appreciation for the correctional environment, facility needs and correction professionals, which he gained over the course of his 16-year correctional career.
After completing a tour in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Fondo began his career in public safety as a probation officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. He then went to work within the Department as a Community Control Sr. Officer and as a Sex Offender Specialist. Mr. Fondo most recently worked as Regional Account Manager serving the eastern U.S. for Isecuretrac, Corp., a developer of electronic monitoring systems for community supervision, compliance monitoring and case management.
No stranger to accolades, Mr. Fondo was awarded two U.S. Navy Good Conduct Medals, a Persian Gulf Service Medal and two Navy Expeditionary Medals during his time in the military. While in the corrections field, he has received a letter of appreciation and a letter of commendation from the Florida Department of Corrections, a certificate of appreciation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a letter of appreciation from the U.S. Secret Service.
Mr. Fondo graduated summa cum laude from Saint Leo University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in criminology. Mr. Fondo subsequently earned his master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida.
