Stephen A. Cullinan, M.D., FACP

Dr. Stephen A. Cullinan co-founded HPL in 1995 and has been be a key part of the team working to grow the company ever since. Currently Dr. Cullinan serves as a Regional Medical Director for HPL. HPL became a division of Correctional Healthcare Companies, Inc., (CHC) in March 2007.

Dr. Cullinan is the Medical Director and Staff Physician for 31 county jails and prisons in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and Wisconsin. When not working for HPL, Dr. Cullinan is also the Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Pekin Hospital.

Dr. Cullinan earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and his medical doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Cullinan has also completed advanced clinical training at the Mayo School of Medicine at the University of Minnesota in the department of oncology.
